Your Tasks

1
Duplicate Review

Identify any possible duplicate transactions.

Hint: Look for repeated vendor names and amounts. Consider whether the same amount paid to the same vendor over a short period may require further review.

2
High-Value Classification

Use an IF statement to classify each transaction:

  • Above $1,000 → "High"
  • $1,000 or below → "Normal"
3
Expense Summary

Use a Pivot Table or SUMIFS to calculate total spending by expense category.

4
Visualisation

Create a simple chart showing spending by expense category.

Bonus Challenge
  • Which vendor received the highest total payments?
  • Which expense category represents the largest proportion of total spending?
🤔
Reflection Question

If you were the finance manager or auditor reviewing this report:

  • Which transactions would you investigate further?
  • Are there any vendors that appear unusually frequently?
  • What observations would you raise to management?
